JUNGLE SAFARIS : Wildlife Tiger safaris at Kanha National Park is one activity which all tourists want to do. As per directives of National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA) a limited number of safari entry permits are given per day to tourists. Entry permits for safari should be booked online well in advance either directly or through your accommodation provider at Kanha.

• Wildlife Tiger safaris are conducted on open Jeep / Gypsy which can accommodate maximum of 6 persons including children.

• Safari excursion can be booked on request at following rates: Safari rate includes Entry permit charges, guide charges, entry ticket booking charges and vehicle charges (open Gypsy 4x4) and service charge / tax thereon. Park remains closed for Wednesday noon safaris.

• Full day Photography safari excursion can also be availed at Kanha National Park on payment of special charges for same and taking permission from the Field Directors office. Application for same has to be made at least 30 days in advance. Maximum 4 people are allowed to avail full day photography safari expedition in one vehicle. Advantage of taking full day excursion includes visit permit in whole tourism zone without any zonal restrictions and 15 minutes extra time for entry and exit. • Night Safari at Kanha national park: Night safaris are permitted in Khatia zone area of Kanha national park. You are allowed to enter the safari area only after due permit has been taken from the entry gate.

• Single seat safari permit are also issued by forest department of Madhya Pradesh for all tiger reserves. People interested in joining other guests for safari can book it through MP Online website.

• Canter Safari permits are also available for budget conscious tourists but it has to be booked directly from entry window a day in advance.

• To book safari entry ticket details for all guests including Name, Fathers / Husbands Name, Age, Address should be provided immediately. Also one Photo ID number per vehicle (6 members) is required which can include Driving License, Passport, Election Commission ID, PAN number, etc., without which safari cannot be booked and we will not be held responsible for non booking of entry ticket.

• Safari entry permit charges for Indian as well as foreign tourists is same.

• Safari charges does not include Elephant Safari / Tiger Show charges, That are extra from above and has to be paid directly to department if facility is availed of.

• Safaris at Mukki & Sarhi Zone:

  • Entry from Kanha Zone and exit from Mukki or Sarhi zone or vice a verse will, incur an additional cost of Rs. 5000/- per safari.

• Safari charges may change as per government rules time to time, any hike in charges have to be paid by guests at the time of check in at the resort. Any increase in government charges, taxes, etc., has to be paid extra as applicable at the time of check in.
